Wire-drawing dies have a wide range of applications, including the production of high-precision wire used in electronic components, radar systems, televisions, instrumentation, and aerospace technology. They are also extensively used in industries such as electronics, electrical engineering, automotive manufacturing, and construction to produce metal wires-including copper, aluminum, and stainless steel-as well as specialized products like high-precision metal wires (e.g., platinum-rhodium, gold, and silver wires), shaped conductor cables, BTTZ rigid fire-resistant cables, electrical conductors, piping, springs, and ropes.
Commonly used wires-such as tungsten, molybdenum, stainless steel, electrical wire and cable strands, and various alloy wires-are all produced using diamond wire-drawing dies. Because they utilize natural diamond as the raw material, these dies offer superior wear resistance and a long service life. The manufacturing process for the die assembly involves several key steps, including pressing, drawing, and turning.
